Pregnancy Belly Products
Hi friends!! I took a brief hiatus because I had (the sweetest) baby and have been completely embracing mom life. However, I miss skincare and talking all things beauty with you all. Today, I’m sharing all the belly items I used throughout my pregnancy to avoid stretch marks. I’ll keep it real with you, despite the insane amount of products I lathered on, I still got stretch marks which proves that there are other factors at play - like genetics.
However, I do believe some of these helped keep me extremely moisturized and helped the stretch marks be minimal. I wanted to focus on trying products I haven’t seen being reviewed.
Honest | Mama Body Oil
Super oily (lol) but incredibly moisturizing. This is my favorite oil of the loot. I ran through four bottles and used through my body and for foot rubs. The formula is completely organic and fragrance free.Summer Fridays | Babymoon Belly Balm
This balm was moisturizing upon application but absorbs too quickly into clothing. However, I did love the formula and ordered a second bottle towards the end of my pregnancy. I loved it as a foot mask too! Just make sure you wait like ten minutes before getting dressed so it doesn’t get absorbed into clothing.Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula | Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks
Got this as a sample and liked it so much I purchased a bottle. Out of all the products I tried, this one had the most lasting moisture. Meaning that hours after application, the skin still felt like it had product on it which I liked. It’s scented which is my least favorite part and what detered me from purchasing again.Pipette | Belly Oil
This came as part of a larger set of baby products so I gave it a go. The scent is light and quite lovely. Which is saying a lot from me because I prefer products that are fragrance free. I wish it came in a larger bottle but it does moisturize similarly to the Honest oil. All Pipette products are Environmental Working Group verified meaning it’s the upmost cleanest formula free of absolutely any toxins and is completely transparent. This is the brand of products I’m using on baby and do love and recommend!Pipette | Belly Butter
Oddly enough this is the least moisturizing of the bunch. It’s a great lotion in general but wouldn’t use it for the purpose of preventing stretch marks.
What products did you try that worked for you or you enjoyed using? Mom life is hard so don’t know if I’ll have the opportunity to try any belly products to try again in the future. Lastly, you may remember I mentioned that I did get some stretch marks after all (probably due to genetics) so I’m going to go to a dermatologist next week to understand my options to diminish the appearance of those and you bet I’ll document the experience!
