The Eyelash Curler That is so Good, I Bought it Twice

Almost everyone uses an eyelash curler, particularly if you are not blessed with perfectly curled lashes. I’ve consistently been using one since I was wearing makeup as a teen and didn’t know the value of finding the perfect one until the few instances that I am without my trusted curler.

The Shiseido Eyelash Curler is unlike any other. It’s stiff, creates a curl and doesn’t pinch the eyelid. I first got this curler about five years ago and have used it religiously since then. While on work trips, I’ve left ths guy behind and purchased the Revlon, Japonesque and Tarte versions and nothing wholes a curl on my almond eyes like the Shiseido.

Why did I repurchase this? My curler that I’ve had for over five years was getting loose at the spring so I decided that five years was enough of a lifetime for an item like this and repurchased. The spring is important on this as it’s the key to the strong grip on the lashes when curling because that’s what gives the curler its resistance. Also the shape of the curler itself is perfect for those with almond eyes so it grabs all lashes in one curl.

Another thing I do that people unanimously recommend against is curling once I’ve put mascara on. Reason being it can pull your eyelashes off. When I curl, I’m careful of not pressing down fully but rather pulsing a bit until the lashes hold the curl.
